Hi, I’m Jolynn! A birth doula, a mother of two beautiful boys, and a woman who knows firsthand just how deeply birth can shape you. 

 

My passion for birth didn’t come from a textbook. It came from living it.

 

My first birth was a traumatic hospital experience that led me to fear, disappointment, questions, and a feeling that I had lost my voice in one of the most important moments of my life.

 

When I became pregnant with my second son, I knew in my heart that I needed something different. I chose a home birth and experienced a birth that was deeply healing, empowering, and transformative.

 

But then, just when I thought we were on the other side of it, everything changed.

 

My son unexpectedly needed to be life-flighted to All Children’s. We spent 10 days in the NICU and I thank god everyday I was able to take him home alive. 

 

Experiencing both sides of birth-the trauma and fear, but also the beauty, empowerment, unpredictability, and strength-changed me. 

 

Those experiences fueled something in me. They gave me a deep passion for birth and a desire to make sure other women feel supported, heard, informed, and empowered throughout their own journeys.

 

They made me passionate about birth in a way I don’t think I could have understood without living it. They showed me how quickly things can change, how important it is to have someone beside you who can help you stay grounded, and how powerful it can be to simply have someone in your corner.

 

I became the person I wish I had during my first birth.

 

I am not a quiet observer. I am bold. I am confident. I have a strong voice, and I am not afraid to use it when it matters. I will help you ask the questions you may be afraid to ask. I will help you understand your options. I will remind you that you have a voice and that you are allowed to use it. But most importantly, I will meet you where you are with no judgments.

 

I believe women deserve to understand their options, trust their intuition, and have a voice in their birth. I’m not afraid to speak up, ask questions, or remind you of your choices when you may feel overwhelmed or unsure.

 

Whether you’re planning a hospital birth, birth center birth, or home birth, I would be honored to walk beside you.

 

Because I know what it feels like to feel powerless in the birth room but I also know what it feels like to reclaim your power.
